Open the circuit breakers as follows for the steering system of the nose gear :
(a)
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G25 NOSE GR STEERING PRI
2) 7G26 NOSE GR STEERING ALT.

Remove the second center ceiling panel, aft in Zone A.

Remove the Interconnect Actuator (Fig. 401)

(1)
Remove the interconnect actuator No. 1.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector X503 from the actuator No. 1 and seal the plug and the receptacle with a cap.
(b)
Remove the bolts (1) and (2) which attach the actuator to the interconnect lever and the bellcrank.
(c)
Remove the actuator from the airplane.

Remove the interconnect actuator No. 2.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector H87 from the actuator No. 2 and seal the plug and the receptacle with a cap.
(b)
Remove the bolts (3) and (4) which attach the actuator to the actuator support and the bellcrank.
(c)
Remove the actuator from the airplane.

Install the Interconnect Actuator (Fig. 401)

Install the rigging pin NS-3 (AMM 32-51-00/501).

Install the interconnect actuator No. 1.
(a)
With the actuator in the retracted position (5.60 [| 0.020] inches between the mounting holes) and the plug receptacle pointed down, install the rod end through the slot in the actuator lever.
(b)
Install the bolt (1) and the bushing with its head up and attach with the nut and the washer.
