Remove the Trunnion Bearings (Fig. 401)
NOTE: You must replace the bearing when the rubber seal or the met ring

is out of the trunnion bearing.

Remove the steering metering valve if you replace the upper trunnion bearing (AMM 32-51-04/401).
(2)
Remove the applicable trunnion locknut.
(3)
Use a puller to remove a defective bearing from the support plate.

1 WHEN BEARINGS ARE PROPERLY INSTALLED THEY WILL PROTRUDE BEYOND SUPPORT PLATE SURFACE GIVING A FALSE INDICATION OF BEARING MIGRATION.
