Remove the Summing Lever (Fig. 402)

(1)
Remove the summing lever and the connecting rod.
(a)
Remove the bolts (1 and 2) from the metering valve.
(b)
Remove the bolts (4 and 5) from the upper and lower mounting plates.
(c)
Remove the nut (6).
(d)
Remove the bolts (7) to disconnect the pulley brackets from the summing lever.
(e)
Move the input arm aft until it is clear of the metering valve.
(f)
Remove the bolt (8) from the input arm and pull the steering metering mechanism from the airplane.
(g)
Disconnect the connecting rod from the summing lever if it is necessary. 1) Remove the bolt (9) and pull the connecting rod from the
summing lever.
