(d)
Slide the transfer tube (5) forward so that the aft end of the tube is clear of its receptacle in the barrel.
(e)
Using the barrel nut torque adapter, loosen the barrel retaining nut and back it off sufficiently to expose the key (7).
(f)
Remove the key (7) and turn the barrel sufficiently to enable the transfer tube (5) to be withdrawn from the trunnion.
(g)
Remove the piston seal sets (4) from the two ends of the transfer tube (5).

(11)
Install the new seal sets on the transfer tube.
(a)
Install the new seal sets (4) on the transfer tube (5).
(b)
Insert the forward end of the transfer tube (5) into the trunnion until it bottoms and then turn the barrel to its original position and install the key (7).
(c)
Tighten the barrel retaining nut to 400-500 pound-inches with the barrel nut torque adapter.
(d)
Slide the transfer tube (5) aft into its barrel receptacle.
(e)
Install the backing plate (2), the retainer (1), the washers (6), and the bolts (3).
