 (2)  S 344-028Disconnect the cables from the trunnion pivot link drum. 
 (3)  S 014-007Do this task: "Torsion Links Removal (Fig. 401)" (AMM 32-21-03/401). 
 (4)  S 014-008Loosen the electrical rigid conduit between the runway turnoff light (P37 panel) and the squat switch pull box (Fig. 402). (a) Remove the fasteners attaching the clamps to the brackets. 1) Do not remove the clamps from the conduit (Fig. 402). (b) Loosen the conduit coupling nut at the pull box fitting one to two turns. 1) Do not remove it. 
 CAUTION:_______ UNDER NO CONDITIONS SHALL THE BAND CLAMPS AROUND THE SHOCK STRUT BE LOOSENED. CARE MUST BE TAKEN NOT TO MOVE THE BLOCK LUGS ON THESE CLAMPS. REASSEMBLY INSTALLATION AND ALIGNMENT OF PARTS WILL BE DIFFICULT IF THE LUGS ARE MOVED. 
 (c) (d)  Remove the nuts holding the bracket to the shock strut.The rigid conduit must be held to the left so that it clears the left steering collar pin (5). 
 (5)  S 034-009With the collar positioned between 0 and a 5 degree left turn, remove the left collar pin as follows: (a) Remove the retainer ring (1). (b) Remove the lube insert (3) and discard the O-rings (2). (c) Remove the retainer nut (4) and the retainer bolt (8) and discard the O-ring (7). (d) Remove the bushing (9) and discard the O-ring (6). (e) Remove the collar pin (5). 
 (6)  S 034-010Turn the steering collar approximately 45 degrees counterclockwise. 
 (7)  S 034-029Remove the right collar pin with the same procedures used for removing the left collar pin. 
 (8)  S 024-011Remove the steering collar halves (Fig. 403). 
 NOTE:____ The aft collar half can be removed by turning it around the
