Do a check of the body gear steering for a left-hand turn:
(a)
Move the Captain's Tiller for a left-hand turn (CCW) until the nose gear angle shown on the protractor (decal) is 45 degrees.
(b)
Make sure that the right-hand actuator on the left-hand body gear has extended 2.70 to 3.58 inches.
(c)
Make sure that the right-hand actuator on the right-hand body gear has extended 2.25 to 3.00 inches.
(d)
Move the Captain's Tiller for a left-hand turn (CCW) until the nose gear angle shown on the protractor (decal) is 65 degrees.
(e)
Make sure that the right-hand actuator on the left-hand body gear has extended 4.94 to 5.89 inches.
NOTE: The actuator may be against the stop.

(f)
Make sure that the right-hand actuator on the right-hand body gear has extended 4.15 to 5.14 inches.
(g)
Move the Captain's Tiller to the neutral position (CW).

Test Actuator Interlock

(1)
Do a test of the body gear steering actuator interlock:
(a)
Move the Captain's Tiller for a right-hand turn (CW) until the nose gear angle shown on the protractor (decal) is between 40 and 50 degrees.
(b)
Move the Captain's Tiller as rapidly as possible for a left-hand turn (CCW) until the tiller stop is contacted - hold it in this position.
(c)
Make sure that the left-hand steering actuators of both body gears retract fully before the right-hand actuators extend.
(d)
Move the Captain's Tiller as rapidly as possible for a right-hand turn (CW) until the tiller stop is contacted - hold it in this position.
