(9) Separate the steering collar bushings (10) and (11) from the collar halves.
NOTE:____These bushings are matched pairs. The forward and aft collar halves are also mated and should be maintained as a matched assembly.
(a)
Remove both of the upper and the lower steering collar bushing splice straps (12) and (13) (Section A-A, Fig. 401).
(b)
Separate the bearing halves at the joints shown in step A, Fig. 403.
(c)
Position the bearing halves as shown in step B, Fig. 403.
(d)
With the right bearing half in the position shown in step B, Fig. 403, remove the left half by turning it clockwise and forward as shown in step C, Fig. 403.
(e)
Remove the right bearing half.

(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
