Remove the jumpers from connector DX404.
(w)
Install the connector DX404.
(x)
Remove connector DX403 from the right body gear steering right actuator (X403).
(y)
Install a jumper between pins 9 and 10 of DX403.
(z)
Make sure BIT 27 on page four of the CDU display is a 0 (UNLOCKED). (aa) Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG is not in view on the
upper EICAS display.
(ab) Install a jumper between pins 13 and 14 of connector DX403.
(ac) Make sure that BIT 27 on page five of the CDU display is a 0 (UNLOCKED).
(ad) Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG comes into view on the upper EICAS display.
(ae) Remove the jumpers from DX403.
(af) Install the connector DX403
(ag) Remove connector DX402 from the left body gear steering right actuator (X402).
(ah) Install a jumper between pins 9 and 10 of connector DX402.
(ai) Make sure BIT 28 on page four of the CDU display is 0 (UNLOCKED).
(aj) Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG is not in view on the upper EICAS display.
(ak) Install a jumper between pins 13 and 14 of connector DX402.
(al) Make sure that BIT 28 on page five of the CDU is a 0 (UNLOCKED).
(am) Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG comes into view on the upper EICAS display.
(an) Remove the jumpers from DX402.
(ao) Install the connector DX402.
(ap) Remove connector DX401 from the left body gear steering left actuator (X401).
(aq) Install a jumper between pins 9 and 10 of connector DX401.
(ar) Make sure BIT 29 on page four of the CDU display is a 0
(UNLOCKED). (as) Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG is not in view on the upper EICAS display. (at) Install a jumper between pins 13 and 14 of connector DX401.

Do a check of the left pressure switch on the left hydraulic control module:
(a)
Push the NEXT PAGE button on the CDU until you get to page six.
(b)
Enter in C/026/005/10 on the CDU scratchpad.
(c)
Push line select key 1L.
(d)
Make sure that the status of this bit on label 005 is as follows:
PRESSURE SWITCH_________________ BIT __________ DESCRIPTION
___ BIT STATUS ___________ L BODY GEAR PRESS 15 0 NO PRESSURE
(e)
Remove connector DX358B from the left body gear control module (X358) in the left wheel well.
(f)
Install a jumper between pins 1 and 2 of connector DX358B.
(g)
Make sure that the status of this bit on label 005 is as follows:
PRESSURE SWITCH_________________ BIT __________ DESCRIPTION
___ BIT STATUS ___________ L BODY GEAR PRESS 15 1 PRESSURE
(h)
Open the 7F09 EIU L circuit breaker on the P7 overhead circuit breaker panel.
(i)
Open the 7F10 EIU C circuit breaker on the P7 overhead circuit breaker panel.
(j)
Make sure that the message BODY GEAR STRG comes into view on the upper EICAS screen.
