 S 495-089
 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 (3)  
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 (4)  
Move the landing gear control lever to the OFF position.

 (5)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (6)  
Make sure hydraulic system No. 4 power is off (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (7)  
Disconnect the nose gear torsion links at the apex (AMM 32-21-03/201).

 (8)  
Disconnect the left and right body gear steering actuators from the lower torsion link.

 (9)  
Make sure that the hydraulic hose clamp at the apex pin is separated from the yoke (AMM 32-53-11/201).

 (10)
 Move the landing gear control handle to the DN position.

 (11)
 Make sure that the Rudder Trim is at the zero position.

 Make sure that the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.

 Make sure the EIU source is set to AUTO for the EFIS/EICAS display.

 Open the circuit breakers and attach a DO-NOT CLOSE tag:

 (a)  
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7G24 BODY GR STRG ARM DC

 (b)  
P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
 1) 180E7 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 2
 2) 180H8 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 1
 3) 180E22 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 4
 4) 180H23 ELEV/RUD VLV SYS 3

Test Electronic Control Module

 S 715-016
 (1)  
Do a check of the electronic control module:

 (a)
Push and hold switch S1 on the electronic control unit.

 NOTE: The electronic control unit is in the left main gear
____
 wheel well.

 (b)  
Make sure that the test indicator light on the module is off.

 (c)  
While pushing in switch S1, push and hold switch S2 on the module.

 (d)  
Make sure that the test indicator light is off.

 (e)  
Release switch S1 and make sure the test indicator light is off.

 (f)  
Release switch S2.

 (2)  
Close the 7G24 BODY GR STRG ARM DC circuit breaker on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.

 S 715-018

 (3)  
Continue the test of the electronic control unit:

 (a)  
Push and hold switch S1

 (b)  
Make sure that the test indicator light is off.

 (c)  
While holding switch S1, push and hold switch S2.

 (d)  
Make sure that the test indicator light comes on.
