(5) S 864-004Open the 7G23 BODY GR STRG ARM AC circuit breaker on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.
(6) S 864-005Open the 7G24 BODY GR STRG ARM DC circuit breaker on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.
(7) S 494-006Install the rigging pins NS-1 and NS-2 in the right-hand and left-hand tiller drums, respectively, and rigging pin NS-3 in the rudder pedal interconnect quadrant (Fig. 401).
(8) S 014-007Remove the external access ladder from stowage on the forward bulkhead of the electronic equipment bay.
(9) S 014-008Remove the access panel from the electronic equipment bay.

Remove insulation as necessary to permit access.

Turn the turnbuckels to loosen the cables NWS1A and NWS1B.
NOTE: The turnbuckles are at stations 350 and 370 on BL 0.

Remove the cotter pin, nut, and retainer from the cable compensator shaft (Fig. 402, View A-A).

Remove the bolts that hold the cable compensator to the bulkhead at station 400.

Pull the compensator assembly aft from the trunnion link and remove the compensator from the structure.

Remove the body gear steering command transducer from the cable compensator assembly.

Remove and discard the gasket.
