Open the fill and overflow valve and then close the valve.

If it is necessary to pressurize the pneumatic manifold while you do maintenance in the water system, disconnect the water tank pressurization line as follows:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO PRESSURE IN THE PNEUMATIC PRESSURE
_______ LINES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. THE HIGH PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE AIR IN THE LINES CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(a)
Open the A/C access panel 3303 (AMM 12-31-31/201).
(b)
Disconnect the water tank pressurization line at the plugged T-fitting approximately 20 inches aft of the air cycle machine. 1) Put a cap or a plug on the open lines.
(c)
Pressurize the pneumatic manifold with the engines or the APU.

(1) If the water tank pressurization line has been disconnected, do these steps:
(a) Do the applicable steps in the Water Tank Depressurization task to release the pressure from the pneumatic manifold.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO PRESSURE IN THE PNEUMATIC PRESSURE
_______ LINES BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE PLUGS OR CAPS. THE HIGH PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE AIR IN THE LINES CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(b) Remove the plugs or caps and connect the water tank pressurization line.

(2) S 862-013Pressurize the water tank with one of these steps: (a) Start the APU and put the APU bleed air switch on the P6 panel to ON (AMM 49-11-00/201). (b) Connect a nitrogen source to the air valve on the water service panel and pressurize the water tank.
(3) S 862-014Let 2 minutes occur for the pressure to become stable.

Release the pressure on the water tank (AMM 38-41-00/201).

Remove the access panel from the rear bulkhead in the aft cargo compartment.

Remove the lockwire on the filter case.

Remove the filter case and the filter element from the filter assembly (Fig. 301).
(5)
Remove the filter element and discard.
(6)
Remove the filter case o-ring and discard.
(7)
Clean the filter case.
