C. Prepare to Remove the Ball Valve
NOTE: For toilet systems with a ball valve in the drain line.

Pull the drain valve handle in the down direction which will open the ball valve and the drain valve at the same time.

Flush the toilet drain line with water (AMM 12-17-00/301) but do not add the chemical precharge.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU PUT A PLASTIC COVER AND A CONTAINER UNDER THE
_______ BALL VALVE TO PROTECT THE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT. THE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT CAN BE DAMAGED IF IT GETS WET.
(3) Put a plastic cover and a shallow pan under the ball valve to protect the electronic equipment and contain the water (2-3 gallons) that can come from the drain line.
D. Remove the ball valve

(1) Push the drain valve handle on the service panel up which will close the drain valve and the ball valve at the same time.
NOTE: Make sure the drain valve in the toilet tank is closed.

Disconnect the two clevis that are attached to the actuator lever on the ball valve.

Remove the bolt, the nut and, the washer (4 locations) that attach the ball valve bracket to the support structure bracket.
