 (5)  Remove the fasteners and remove the toilet tank shroud.

 (6)  Disengage the control cable at the cable quick-disconnect.

 (7)  On installations with the sleeve subassembly attached to the tank
 top, remove the lockwire, locknut and washer on the upstream side of
 the bracket.

 (8)  On installations that go through the lavatory partition, remove the
 grommet or plate and gasket from the partition and the cable
 assembly.

 (9)  On installations with the sleeve subassembly in the drip pan, remove
 the locknut, washer, and rubber seal from the top side of the sleeve
 subassembly.
 NOTE:____ The sleeve subassembly is found adjacent to the tank in
 the drip pan.

 (10) For a cable assembly under the forward lavatory, remove the access panels in the nose wheel well (AMM 12-31-11/201).
 NOTE: This will provide access to the control cable below the
____ passenger cabin floor.

 (11) For a cable assembly that controls an aft lavatory drain valve, remove the bulkhead access panels in the aft cargo compartment.
 NOTE: This is necessary to get access to the cable assembly
____ below the passenger cabin floor.

 (12) For modular lavatories D or E, move the lavatory module (AMM 25-40-01/401) in the inboard direction to get access to the cable clamp on the crease beam.

 On installations with the sleeve subassembly in the lavatory floor or drip pan, pull the cable assembly out of the lavatory floor or drip pan and the slider housing.

 NOTE: Help the cable through the pulley assembly if it is

 necessary.

 (15) On installations with the sleeve subassembly on the toilet tank, pull the casing and the cable assembly out of the lavatory partition.
 NOTE: Help the cable through the pulley assembly and/or the
____ lavatory partition if it is necessary.

 (16) In the aft lavatories B or C with a catch basin,
 remove the grommet from the drip pan.

 NOTE: Discard the grommet if it is damaged.

 For installations with the sleeve subassembly attached just below the floor:

 (a)  
Remove the locknut and washer from the upstream side of the sleeve subassembly.

 (b)  
Move the ball end of the cable assembly out of the pulley assembly.

 (c)  
Pull the cable assembly out of the lavatory drip pan or the floor, and the mounting bracket.

 

 (18)
 Pull the cable assembly out of the service panel.

 (19)
 Remove the cable assembly from the airplane.
