 (a)  Recommended Disinfectant -1) Chlorine dioxide (stabilized 2%) and citric acid (crystals or powder)
 WARNING:_______ DO NOT BREATHE THE CHLORINE DIOXIDE GAS. WHEN THE TWO CHEMICALS ARE MIXED, CHLORINE DIOXIDE GAS IS PRODUCED WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS IF THEY BREATHE THE GAS.
 a) b) c) d)  Mix the following amounts of chlorine dioxide with citric acid in a clean plastic container: 25.6 fluid ounces (0.76 liters) chlorine dioxide, 2.66 ounces (75.4 grams) citric acid.Use a clean instrument to mix the solution fully.Stop for 5 minutes (activation period).Add 5 gallons of water to the solution.
 (5)  S 673-090If a water service cart with a chlorine metering system is used, do the steps that follow: (a) Add the disinfectant solution to the chlorine solution reservoir in the service cart. (b) Make sure the chlorine solution reservoir in the service cart is full. (c) Fill the water system until the water chlorine solution drains from the overfill valve.
 (6)  S 673-042If a service cart with a chlorine metering system is not used, use a recommended concentration of chlorine solution in the steps that follow: (a) Add the disinfectant to the potable water system through the water fill connection at the potable water service panel. (b) Fill the remaining volume of the water tank with clean water. (c) Fill the water system with clean water until the water chlorine solution drains from the overfill valve.
 (7)  S 673-082Close the fill and overflow valve immediately.
 (8)  S 673-083Pressurize the water system (AMM 38-41-00/201).

 (9)  Open the faucet, if one exists, found in each galley to vent the air from the water system.
 (a)  Close the faucet immediately after the chlorine solution begins to drain.

 (a)  Close the faucets immediately after the chlorine solution begins to drain.

 NOTE: Flush the water system, if it is necessary with fresh water,

 H. Put the Airplane in its Usual Condition

ALL EXCEPT LAVATORIES D AND E; turn the handle for the drain valve to SUPPLY or ON as applicable.

Shut the secondary drain valve and then turn the water valve handle to SUPPLY or ON as applicable.
