 (12) Disengage the control cable for the drain valve at the cable quick-disconnect.
 E. Remove the waste tank as follows:
 S 024-080
 (1)  
On the aft waste tank,
 remove the tiedown strap.
 S 024-082
 (2)  
On waste tanks with tiedown rods,
 do the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Loosen the fasteners for the tiedown rods.
 (b)  
Move the tiedown rods away from the waste tank.

 (3)  
On waste tanks that connect to the auxiliary waste tank, use a lever to alternately lift each end of the waste tank in small graduations until the drain outlets are loosened from their adapters.

 (4)  
On waste tanks that do not connect to the auxiliary waste tank, turn the waste tank sufficiently to loosen the waste tank from the drain adapter.

 CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU LIFT THE WASTE TANK UP SMOOTHLY. IF YOU DO NOT LIFT THE WASTE TANK SMOOTHLY, DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE TANK OUTLET(S) OR THE DRAIN ADAPTER(S).
 (5)  Lift the waste tank up smoothly.
 S 864-090
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT SET THE WASTE TANK ON THE TANK OUTLET(S). IF THE TANK OUTLET(S) TOUCH OTHER SURFACES, DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
 (6)  Put the waste tank on the supports and make sure the tank outlet(s) do not touch other surfaces.

 (7)  On waste tanks that connect to the auxiliary waste tank, loosen the hose clamp to remove the boot from the floor adapter.
 NOTE: Discard the boot.
