D. Install the Drain Nipple
S 164-009
(1) Use the solvent, Series 95 (AMM 20-30-95/201) to clean the mounting surfaces and the bolts.
(a) Remove the used sealant from the bolts.

(2) If the heater gasket was removed, do these steps to install a new heater gasket:
(a)
Remove the used wires.
(b)
Splice in the new wires.
(c)
Put the heater gasket in the correct position.
(d)
Make sure the wires are installed correctly.

(3) Engage the drain nipple with the waste duct.
(a) Do these steps to install the drain nipple against the heater gasket: 1) At the service panels with the OPEN/CLOSE levers, install
the drain nipple with the levers in the up position.
2) On airplanes with the PUSH-TO-OPEN levers for the flapper valve, do these steps: a) At the forward service panel, install the drain nipple
with the PUSH-TO-OPEN lever in the aft and up position. b) At the aft service panel, install the drain nipple with the PUSH-TO-OPEN lever in the forward position.

(4) Install the mounting bolts.
(a) Install the nut ring from behind the service panel.

Put the bolts in the sealant momentarily.
(c)
Install the bolts while the sealant is wet.

(5) Install the clamp to hold the waste drain duct to the drain nipple.
NOTE: Wind teflon tape a minimum of one time around the clamp point
____ of the waste drain duct to make the installation easier. Remove the used teflon tape if it is necessary.

For the forward service panel, install the access door on the right inner wall of the nose wheel well.

For the aft service panel, install the aft bulkhead lining panel in the aft cargo compartment.

Make sure there are no leaks at the service panel when the drain tube is filled with water (AMM 38-32-00/501).
E. Put the Airplane to Its Usual Condition

Add the chemical precharge to the waste tank and do the remaining steps of the toilet servicing procedure (AMM 12-17-00/301).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the load control center panel, P18:
(a) DRAIN HEATER

(3) Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary
(AMM 24-22-00/201).
