220 The Aft Cargo Bay for the Equipment.

Open the WATER QTY IND circuit breaker on the P18 panel and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Remove the water from the potable water tank (AMM 12-14-00/301).

Get access to the water tank through the access panel on the aft
bulkhead in the aft cargo compartment. ú ú S 044-041 ú ú
WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE POTABLE WATER TANK IS FULLY DEPRESSURIZED ú PRIOR TO CONDUCTING ANY MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS UPON THE ú TANK. ú FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONEL, AND ú DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND ITS COMPONENTS. ú

ú (4) Depressurize the water tank (AMM 38-41-00/201). ú ú S 024-039 ú (5) Remove the potable water tank (AMM 38-11-11/401). ú ú S 024-037 ú (6) To remove a tank access end plug, found on one or both ends of the ú potable water tank, do the steps that follow: ú (a) Compress the end plug retaining ring and remove it from the end ú plug.
(b) Pull the end plug from the tank.

Remove the transmitter fitting, the bonding lug, the screws, and the lockwire from the boss on the top of the tank.

Remove the O-ring from the boss.

Remove the cotter pin at the bottom of the tube for the transmitter.

Carefully pull the float from the bottom of the tube.

Remove the cotter pin and the float from the tank.

Carefully pull the transmitter through the boss and out of the tank.
