Open the WATER QTY IND circuit breaker on the P18 panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.

Remove the access panel on the aft bulkhead in the aft cargo compartment.

Use the pressure from the air manifold, air compressor, a service cart, or gravity to drain the potable water tank.
(a)
Use the air manifold pressure or the compressor pressure. 1) Pressurize the water system (AMM 38-41-00/201). 2) Turn the tank drain handle on the service panel to drain
the water tank. 3) When the flow of water stops, remove the pressure from the water system (AMM 38-41-00/201). 4) Turn the tank drain handle to close the water drain valve.
(b)
Use gravity to drain the tank. 1) Remove the pressure from the water system (AMM 38-41-00/201). 2) Turn the tank drain handle and the fill valve handle for the water tank to open the valves.
3) When the flow of water stops, close the drain valve and the fill valve.

(4) Remove the access panel on the rear bulkhead in the aft cargo compartment.
D. Remove the Fill Valve

Disconnect the four lines from the fill valve.

Install the caps on the four lines.

Remove the shaft from the valve as follows:
(a) Remove the connect pin and the two washers from the shaft.

Remove the inboard and the outboard stop nuts.

Remove the inboard bracket that holds the fill valve as follows:
(a)
Remove the connect bolts and washers in the bracket.
(b)
Remove the inboard bracket and the fill valve.
