D. Procedure

(1)
Do the servicing procedure for the toilet tank but drain the chemical precharge after five minutes (AMM 12-17-00/301).

Do not close the service panel drain valve.

Visually examine the outer seal and the seal mating surface of the service panel drain valve for wear or damage.

Repair or replace if it is necessary (AMM 38-32-81/201 and AMM 38-32-81/401).

Close the service panel drain valve.
NOTE: On service panels with OPEN/CLOSE levers, do not use the close lever on the side of the valve to close the flapper valve.

Open the toilet tank dump valve.

On flush/fill ports with caps, close the cap.

(a) If there is leakage from the drain valve cap, do these steps: 1) Replace the seals in the drain valve if they are damaged (AMM 38-32-81/201).
2) Replace the drain valve if it is damaged (AMM 38-32-81/401).

(11) Do this task: Cabin Pressurization Test (AMM 38-32-00/501) or Vacuum Fixture Test (AMM 38-32-00/501) to check for leaks inside the drain valve cap.
(a)
If there is leakage from the drain line plug, replace the plug.
(b)
If the surface that makes a seal with the drain line plug is damaged, replace the nipple assembly (AMM 38-32-81/401).
(c)
If there is leakage from the flapper, replace the damaged seal for the flapper or the damaged flapper (AMM 38-32-81/201).
E. Return the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Service the toilet but ignore the steps that flush the tank with 8 gallons of water (AMM 12-17-00/301).
NOTE: This gives the steps to drain the toilet tank, add the
____ chemical precharge and close the service panel.

(1) This test examines the service panel flush/fill port for leaks. You must repeat this test for each service panel on the airplane.
