(b)
On the P6 panel,
1) R FRONT WINDOW ANTI-ICE
2) L FRONT WINDOW ANTI-ICE
3) R SIDE WINDOW ANTI-ICE
4) L SIDE WINDOW ANTI-ICE

Remove the lightshield (AMM 25-11-11/201).

(3) Do a check of the resistance of the sensor in the necessary window.
(a)
Disconnect the wires from the window heat sensor.
(b)
Make sure that the resistance is in the limits shown in Fig. 502.
NOTE: If the resistance is above the limits, the window could
____ be warmer that the ambient temperature. Try cooling the window to closer to the ambient temperature and repeat the measurement.

(4) Do a test to make sure the sensor will not operate intermittently.
(a) Put a piece of aluminum plate in hot water to increase its temperature to approximately 200 |10°F.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT THE PLATE ON THE WINDOW IF THE WINDOW
_______ IS VERY COLD. THE HOT PLATE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WINDOW.
(b) Put the plate above the sensor on the external surface of the window.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE WINDOW IS NOT HEATED TO OVER 200 DEGREES F / 93
_______ DEGREES C AND IS LIMITED TO NOT MORE 10 MINUTES OF HEATING. HEATING PAST THESE LIMITS COULD DAMAGE THE WINDOW.
(5) As an optional method for heating the window temperature sensor a heat gun is acceptable.
(a) Keep the heat gun approximatley 12 inches / 30 centimeters or more from the windshield surface. Do not apply heat for longer than 10 minutes.
