_______ THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS LOCKS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE LOCKS CORRECTLY, THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove the 6212L panel from the left wing.
(b)
Remove the 6512R panel from the right wing.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the thermal switch.

Remove the thermal switch. Discard the gasket.

Install the gasket on the thermal switch and install the switch into the duct boss.

Connect the electrical connector to the thermal switch.
NOTE: If you will do the Test of the Thermal Switch Circuit, do not
____ connect the electrical connector until after that test.
D. Test of the Thermal Switch Circuit

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201):

Do a test of the thermal switch circuit:
(a)
Set the WING ANTI-ICE switch (P5 overhead panel) to ON.
(b)
Use a jumper to connect the pins 1 and 2 of the switch connector (D738 - left wing, D736 - right wing).
(c)
Make sure that the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly and continuously.
(d)
Remove the jumper from the thermal switch connector.
