(1) Do this test to make sure the system operates correctly in flight.
(a)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position.
(b)
Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS circuit breaker on the P6 panel.
(c)
See that the WING ANTI-ICE switch moves to the OFF position automatically.
(d)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly for 1 to 3 seconds.
(e)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights go off after 3 seconds.
(f)
See that the wing TAI valves close.
(g)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position.
(h)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly for 1 to 3 seconds.
(i)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights come on dimly after 3 seconds.
(j)
Remove electrical connector D3200 from the low flow solenoid in the left strut.
(k)
Measure between 0 and 1 VDC between pins 1 and 2.
(l)
Close the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS circuit breaker on the P6 panel.
(m)
Measure 28 VDC between pins 1 and 2 of the D3200 electrical connector.
(n)
Remove the D3202 electrical connector from the low flow solenoid in the right strut.

(2) Do this test to make sure the thermal switches operate correctly.
(a)
Remove the thermal switch from the TAI duct in the left wing (AMM 30-11-21/401).
(b)
Connect the D738 electrical connector to the thermal switch.
(c)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position.
(d)
Use the special tool to increase the temperature of the thermal switch until it is from 125 to 135 degrees C.
(e)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly and continuously.
(f)
See that the TAI valves in each wing are closed.
(g)
Let the thermal switch become cool.
(h)
When the thermal switch is cool, monitor the TAI valves and lights. 1) See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights are
on dimly. 2) See that the TAI valve in each wing is open.
(i)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the OFF position.
(j)
Install the thermal switch in the TAI duct in the left wing (AMM 30-11-21/401).
(k)
Remove the thermal switch from the TAI duct in the right wing (AMM 30-11-21/401).
(l)
Connect the D736 electrical connector to the thermal switch.
(m)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the ON position.
(n)
Use the special tool to increase the temperature of the thermal switch until it is from 125 to 135 degrees C.
(o)
See that the L VALVE OPEN and the R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly and continuously.
(p)
See that the TAI valves in each wing are closed.
