As an optional method the windows No.1 and No.2 can be measured at the Window Heat Control Unit connector.

Remove the Window Heat Control Unit from the E3-3 rack.

(6) Do a check of the resistance of the heater circuit in the No.1 window.
(a)
Using Table 1 measure the resistance of the heater circuit Left No.1 window.
(b)
If the resistance check failed, then check the circuit from the WHCU to the applicable window. (WDM 30-41-11, 30-41-12)
(c)
If the circuit checks good then do a test of the electrical resistance of the applicable window.

Do the same test again for the other No. 1 window and the two No. 2 windows.

Do a test of the electrical resistance of window No. 4 and 5.
NOTE: Do these steps for each window.

Disconnect the wires from the heater connections on the window.
(b)
Measure the resistance across the window.
(c)
Make sure the resistance is in these limits:

If the resistance check failed then replace the window.

(9) Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) On the P6 panel
1) R FRONT WINDOW ANTI-ICE
2) L FRONT WINDOW ANTI-ICE
3) R SIDE WINDOW ANTI-ICE
4) L SIDE WINDOW ANTI-ICE
5) RIGHT NO. 4 AND NO. 5 WINDOW ANTI-ICE
6) LEFT NO. 4 AND NO. 5 WINDOW ANTI-ICE
