INLET COWL ANTI-ICING SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
______________________________________________
1. General_______
A. This subject contains two tasks. The first task is an operational test of the engine inlet cowl anti-icing system. It is necessary to operate a ground air source the APU or an engine for the operational test.
B. The second task is a system test of the engine inlet cowl anti-icing system. For the system test, it is necessary to open the thrust reverser and connect a jumper at the electrical connectors for the TAI valve, the TAI pressure switch, and the TAI overheat switch.
TASK 30-21-00-715-013
2. Inlet Cowl Anti-Ice Operational Test With Engine Power______________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
There are three alternative procedures to do the operational test of the engine inlet cowl anti-ice system. The first procedure uses the engines for pneumatic power the second procedure uses the APU, and the third procedure uses a ground air source. It is only necessary to do one of these procedures for this test.
___
(2)
If you do the Inlet Cowl Anti-Ice Operational Test with Engine Power, do not do the procedures: Inlet Cowl Anti-Ice Operational Test with APU Power or Ground Air Source (which follows).
