Make sure that the WINDOW HEAT R FWD ON light comes on in less than 15 seconds after you set the switch to ON.
(c)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows voltage at the window.

(3) Do a check of the window overheat mode:
(a)
Hold the WINDOW HEAT TEST switch (P5-9 module) to OVHT.
(b)
Make sure that the WINDOW HEAT R FWD OVERHEAT light comes on.
(c)
Make sure that the two MASTER CAUTION lights (P7 pilots' lightshield) come on.
(d)
Make sure that the ANTI-ICE light comes on.
(e)
Make sure that the WINDOW HEAT R FWD ON light goes off in less than 70 seconds after you moved the switch to OVHT.
(f)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows no voltage at the window.
(g)
Release the WINDOW HEAT TEST switch.

(4) Do a check of the master caution annunciation:
(a)
Push one of the two MASTER CAUTION lights.
(b)
Make sure that the two MASTER CAUTION lights go off.
(c)
Make sure that the ANTI-ICE light goes off.
(d)
Push one of the master caution annunciator panels.
(e)
Make sure that the two MASTER CAUTION lights come on.
(f)
Make sure that the ANTI-ICE light comes on.

(5) Do a check of the window heat voltage and temperature:
(a)
Set the WINDOW HEAT R FWD switch to OFF and then back to ON.
(b)
Make sure that the WINDOW HEAT R FWD OVERHEAT light goes off.
(c)
Make sure that the two MASTER CAUTION lights and the ANTI-ICE light go off.
(d)
Make sure that the WINDOW HEAT R FWD ON light comes on.
(e)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows voltage at the window.
NOTE: Wait 3 minutes for voltage increase before you do the
____ next step. The window heat control unit will not apply full voltage for approximately 3 minutes. This reduces the thermal shock to the pane when power is applied to a cold window.
CAUTION: RELEASE THE TEST SWITCH IF THE OVERHEAT LIGHT COMES ON.
_______ IF THE OVERHEAT LIGHT COMES ON, THE WINDOW CAN BECOME TOO HOT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO ITSELF.
(f) Hold the WINDOW HEAT TEST switch to PWR.

(g) Make sure that the voltage at the window is the same as the applicable voltage in Table I.
NOTE: If the WINDOW HEAT OVERHEAT light comes on before you
____ can measure the voltage, then release the test switch, let the window become cool and do two steps above again.
(h)
Release the WINDOW HEAT TEST switch.
(i)
After the window voltage becomes stable, measure the window temperature.
NOTE: Measure the temperature on the outside of the window,
____ adjacent to the heat sensing element.
(j) Make sure that the window temperature stays at 107 |7°F.

Set the WINDOW HEAT R FWD switch to OFF.

Remove the voltmeter from the window power terminals.
I. No. 2 Left Window Heat Test

(1) At the No.2 left window connect an AC voltmeter between a top terminal of window and airplane ground.
NOTE: The No.2 left and right windows are designed with terminals
____ located at the top of the window and at the bottom of window. The voltage applied is at the top oppisite corners and the lower opposite corners are wired to airplane ground.
