WING ANTI-ICING TELESCOPING DUCT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks, one for the removal and one for the installation of the telescoping ducts on the wing thermal anti-ice (TAI) system.
B. The telescoping ducts connect the wing TAI manifold to each of the six slat spray ducts in the wing leading edge. Each telescoping duct has an inner and an outer duct. The inner duct attaches to the wing manifold and the outer duct attaches to the slat spray duct. When you remove the leading edge slat, the inner and outer duct disengage. You can remove or install each duct independently.
C. For this procedure, the slat must be installed and must be in the extended position. To replace the inner or the outer duct with the slat removed, some steps of this procedure are not necessary.
