(2) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a)
On the P18-3 panel - Load Control Center, Left
1) WING ANTI-ICE VALVE
2) ANTI-ICE CONTROL ENG 1 & WING
(b)
On the P6-3 panel - Load Control Center, Right
1) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS
2) NOSE GEAR AIR/GND

Push each light on the P5-11 module to make sure it comes on.

Do these steps to make sure the module shows the position of the wing TAI valves correctly:
(a)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the on position.
(b)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly for 1 to 3 seconds.
(c)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights are on dimly after 3 seconds.
(d)
Make sure the wing TAI valves open.
(e)
Disconnect electrical connector D732 from the left wing TAI valve.
(f)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN light is on brightly and
continuously.
(g)
Connect electrical connector D732 to the left wing TAI valve.
(h)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN light is on dimly and continuously.
(i)
Disconnect electrical connector D734 from the right wing TAI valve.
(j)
Make sure the R VALVE OPEN light is on brightly and
continuously.
(k)
Connect electrical connector D734 to the right wing TAI valve.
(l)
Make sure the R VALVE OPEN light is on dimly and continuously.
(m)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the off position.
(n)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly for 1 to 3 seconds.
(o)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights go off.
(p)
Make sure the wing TAI valves close.
(q)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the on position.

(5) Attach the protractor and adapter to the left thrust lever.

(6) Do these steps to see that the module gets the correct input from
the left throttle switch:
(a) Move the thrust levers to the idle stop.
(b) Set the WING ANTI-ICE switch to ON.
(c) Slowly push the left thrust lever forward.
(d) Make sure that the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights come on
bright when the left thrust lever is at approximately 32 |1°.
(e) Move the left thrust lever forward to its stop.
(f) Slowly move the left thrust lever aft.
(g) Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights become dim
