Make sure the L VALVE OPEN light is on brightly and continuously.

Connect the D732 electrical connector to the left wing TAI valve.
(d)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN light is on dimly and continuously.

(8) Do this test of the TAI valve indication for the right wing.
(a)
Disconnect the D734 electrical connector from the right wing TAI valve.
(b)
Make sure the R VALVE OPEN light is on brightly and continuously.
(c)
Connect the D734 electrical connector to the right wing TAI valve.
(d)
Make sure the R VALVE OPEN light is on dimly and continuously.

(9) Make sure the wing TAI valves close correctly.
(a)
Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch in the OFF position.
(b)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights come on brightly for 1 to 3 seconds.
(c)
Make sure the L VALVE OPEN and R VALVE OPEN lights go off.
(d)
Make sure the wing TAI valves close.

WTAI SOLENOID VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the solenoid valve for the wing thermal anti-ice (WTAI). The second task installs the solenoid valve for the WTAI.
B. The airplane must be in the condition that follows for the WTAI solenoid valve to operate:
(1)
The airplane must be on the ground.
(2)
The WING ANTI-ICE switch, on the P5 panel, must be in the ON position.
C. The removal and the installation of the WTAI solenoid valve is the same for each engine.

C. Prepare to Remove the WTAI Solenoid Valve

Put the start lever for the engine to the CUT-OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(2)
Remove the pressure from the pneumatic system (Ref 36-05-00/201).

Put the WING ANTI-ICE switch, on the P5 panel, to the OFF position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Open the access panel for the applicable engine.
