 (2)  Provide electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (3)  Set all the selector switches on the window and pitot heat module
 (P5-9 panel) to OFF.

 (4)  Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
 (a) On the P6 panel
 1) Below - MSTR CAUTION BUS:
 a) ANNUNCIATOR BAT
 b) ANNUNCIATOR NO. 1
 c) ANTI-ICE
 2) Below - INDICATOR MASTER DIM BUS:
 a) No. 1 DC
 b) No. 2 DC
 c) SECT 4
 d) SECT 5
 3) DIM & TEST
 4) PITOT STATIC INDICATION - CAPTAIN
 5) PITOT STATIC INDICATION - FIRST OFFICER
 (b) On the P18 panel
 1) WINDOW L
 2) WINDOW R

 (5)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a) On the P18 panel
 1) Below HEATERS - PITOT STATIC:
 a) CAPT - UPPER L
 b) CAPT - LWR R
 c) F/O UPPER R
 d) F/O LWR L
 e) ELEVATOR PITOT - L
 f) ELEVATOR PITOT - R
 g) TEMP PROBE
 2) ALPHA VANE HTR - R
 3) ALPHA VANE HTR - L

 (6)  Make sure the PITOT STATIC A & B switches are in the off position.
 S 725-006
 (7)  See that all the indicator lights on the Window and Pitot Heat
 module are on.

 E. Do a test of the "A" pitot-static heater system.
 NOTE: The Master Caution lights and ANTI-ICE annunciator will be
____
 on for this test.

 S 865-018
 (1)  
Close the CAPT-UPPER L circuit breaker on the P18 panel.

 S 715-019

 (2)  
Do a test of the heater in the top left pitot tube.

 (a)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC B switch in the on position.

 (b)  
Make sure all the pitot tube heaters are off.

 (c)  
See that all the indicator lights on the Window and Pitot Heat Module stay on.

 (d)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC B switch in the off position.

 

 CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE ANY HEATER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES.
_______ YOU CAN DECREASE THE LIFE OF THE HEATER IF YOU LET IT STAY ON.
 (e)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC A switch in the on position.

 (f)  
Make sure that only the CAPT P/S 1 AUX STATIC indicator light goes off.

 WARNING:_______DO NOT TOUCH THE HEATERS TO KNOW THEY ARE ON. FEEL THE AIR CLOSE TO THE HEATERS TO KNOW THEIR TEMPERATURE. THE HEATERS CAN GET VERY HOT AND CAUSE INJURY IF YOU TOUCH THEM.

 (g)  
Make sure that only the top left pitot tube gets hot.

 (h)  
Open the CAPT-UPPER L circuit breaker on the P18 panel.

 (i)  
Make sure that the CAPT P/S 1 AUX STATIC light on the Window and Pitot Heat Module comes on.

 (j)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC A switch in the off position.

 S 865-020
 (3)  
Close the F/O - LWR L circuit breaker on the P18 panel.

 S 715-008

 (4)  
Do a test of the heater on the lower left pitot tube.

 (a)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC B switch in the on position.

 (b)  
Make sure all the pitot tube heaters are off.

 (c)  
See that all the indicator lights on the Window and Pitot Heat Module stay on.

 (d)  
Put the PITOT-STATIC B switch in the off position.
