A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(4)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable zones 571(671) and 574(674).

(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004), to clean:
-the lower-surface of the bottom skin at the runouts of the stringers 2, 14 and 15.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Outer-Wing Bottom Skin Lower-Surface at the Runouts of Stringer 15 (rib-bay 2-3), Stringer 14 (rib-bay 3-4) and Stringer 2 (rib-bay 5-6)
(1) Examine the lower-surface of the bottom-skin at the runouts of the stringers 2, 14 and 15. Make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion or damage
-
there are no scratches, or scores
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

correct repair procedure.
