A. Preparation for Inspection
(1)
Remove unwanted sealant from the access panel cut-outs and the panel interfaces.
(2)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean:
-
the interfaces of the access panel cut-outs in the wing skin (3)
-
the interfaces of the access panels (1)
-
the clamp rings (5) and the bolts (6).

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom wing skin at the access panel cut-outs. Make sure that:
-there is no corrosion of the access panel (1) and the wing skin (3) interfaces
-
the sealing ring (2) is in good condition
-
the access hole edges in the wing skin (3) are not cracked or damaged
-
the knitted gasket (4) is in good condition
-there is no damage to, or scoring of, the clamp ring (5) and the access panel (1) interface
-
the bolt (6) holes in the clamp ring (5) are not damaged
-
the paint finish is of the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the correct

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002):
-for the left wing, install 540CB, 540DB, 540EB, 540FB, 540GB
-for the right wing, install 640CB, 640DB, 640EB, 640FB, 640GB. Subtask 57-21-00-650-057
B. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003), defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer fuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) as necessary.

C. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(2)
Remove the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER from the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Remove the safety barriers.
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
