Obey the fuel safety precautions (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below zone 540(640).
(2)
Remove the fuel pumps 21QA(26QA) and 25QA(22QA) (Ref. TASK 28-21-51-000-001).

A. Preparation for Inspection WARNING : USE A PROTECTIVE EYE SHIELD/GOGGLES WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED
_______ AIR. DEBRIS AND/OR HIGH PRESSURE AIR CAN DAMAGE YOUR EYES.
(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) and a compressed air jet to clean:
-
the edges of the two fuel pump openings (1)
-
the wing bottom skin, lower surface (2), adjacent to the fuel pump openings (1).

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower-Surface at Fuel Pump Apertures, between RIB1 and RIB2
(1) Examine the outer-wing, bottom skin fuel pump openings (1) and the adjacent surface area (2). Make sure that:
-there is no damage to the edges of the openings (1)
-
the surface area (2) has no corrosion or damage
