 A. Safety Precautions
 WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.

 (1)
 You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.

 (2)
 Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.

 (3)
 Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

 (4)
 Put the safety barriers in position.

 B. Fuel Configuration
 (1)
 Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).

 (2)
 Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

 (1)
 Put the adjustable access platform in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540(640), outboard of flap track 4.

 Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-002):

 -for the left wing, remove 540PB, 540QB, 540RB
 -for the right wing, remove 640PB, 640QB, 640RB.

 (1)
 Put the adjustable access platform in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540(640), outboard of flap track 4.

 A. Preparation for Inspection
 (1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026), to clean the bottom skin runouts of:
 -
the buttstrap at stringer 8 (RIB20 and RIB21 adjacent to the front spar)

 -
the buttstrap at stringer 11 (RIB21 adjacent to the rear spar).

 B. Inspection
 (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the bottom skin buttstrap at stringer 8 (RIB20 and RIB21 adjacent to the front spar) and the runout of the bottom skin buttstrap at stringer 11 (RIB21 adjacent to the rear spar) (Ref. NTM 57-21-57 PART 2).
 NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
____ correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.
