A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable zone 470(480).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM 064154 P. Block 1):
-
for the left wing, remove 471CL, 475BL, 472BR and 476BR
-
for the right wing, remove 481BL, 485BL, 482CR and 486BR.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1)
Make sure that you remove all sealant from the surface around the aft pylon attachment-fitting cutout.
(2)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026), to clean:
-the surface around the aft pylon attachment-fitting cutout.

B. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the bottom-skin, lower-surface around the aft pylon attachment-fitting cutout (Ref. NTM 57-20-47 PART 6).
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
____ correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the applicable access panels(Ref. AMM 064154 P. Block 1):
-
for the left wing, install 471CL, 475BL, 472BR and 476BR
-
for the right wing, install 482CR, 486BR, 481BL and 485BL.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER flap/slat control lever locking tool from the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Remove the safety barriers.
(3)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
