Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

(1)
Put the adjustable access platform in position below the applicable wing fuel tank, zone 540 (640).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001) (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-002) (Ref. TASK 28-12-46-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002):

for the left wing, remove 540CB, 540DB, 540EB, 540FB, 540GB, 540HB, 540JB, 540KB, 540LB, 540MB, 540NB, 540PB, 540QB, 540RB

for the right wing, remove 640CB, 640DB, 640EB, 640FB, 640GB, 640HB, 640JB, 640KB, 640LB, 640MB, 640NB, 640PB, 640QB, 640RB.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the aft face of the front spar (RIB8 thru RIB22).

(1) Examine the the aft face of the front spar (RIB8 thru RIB22). Make sure that:

there is no corrosion or damage

there are no scratches or scores
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
