 (1) Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats or flaps.
 (2) Put the safety barriers in position.

 B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Make sure the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-009).

 (2)
 Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.

 C. Get Access
 (1)
 Put the adjustable access platform in position below the flap tracks 3 and 4, zones 532 (632) and 533 (633).

 (2)
 Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-001):

 -
for the left wing, remove flap track fairings 532AB, 532BB, 532CB, 532DB, 533AB, 533BB, 533CB, 533DB

 -
for the right wing, remove flap track fairings 632AB, 632BB, 632CB, 632DB, 633AB, 633BB, 633CB, 633DB.

 A. Preparation for Inspection
 WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
 (1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004), to clean:
 -
the bottom-skin lower-surface at the attachment to the ribs

 -
the stringers in the area that is covered by the flap track 3 and 4 fairings.

 B. Inspection
 (1) Examine the lower surface of the bottom skin at the attachment to the ribs. Also examine the stringers in the areas covered by the flap track 3 and 4 fairings. Make sure that:
 -
there is no corrosion or damage

 -
there are no scratches or scores

 -
there are no loose or damaged fasteners


 -the surface protection is in the correct condition.
 NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the
____
 correct repair procedure.

 5. Close-up
