Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

Put the warning notices in these positions: - on the panel 40VU, to tell persons not to operate the fuel system - on the panel 800VU, to tell persons not to refuel the aircraft.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable wing tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003). Subtask 57-20-00-010-077
C. Get Access WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.

Put the access platform in position below the zone 540(640).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001):

for the left wing, remove 540AB
-
for the right wing, remove 640AB.
(3)
Put the spark-proof lamp adjacent to the inspection area.
(4)
Remove the sealant from the nuts (1) and the adjacent area, with a non metallic scraper.
4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026), to clean:
-the upper connection area of the outer wing rear-spar forward-face between RIB1 and RIB2.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Upper Connection Area of the Outer Wing Rear Spar Forward Face between Ribs 1 and 2
(1) Do an inspection of the rear-spar forward-face upper connection area, with a 10x magnifying glass. Make sure that:

there are no cracks
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no scratches or scores
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 57200000) for the

correct repair procedure.

Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the nuts (1) and the adjacent area.
(2)
Remove the spark-proof lamp.
(3)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(4)
Install the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001):

for the left wing, install 540AB
-
for the right wing, install 640AB.
