B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Outer Wing Ribs, Outboard Face of RIB2, RIB3 and RIB4 and at Skin Attachments (including cleats), Spar Attachments and the Region of Stringer Cutouts
(1) Examine the outboard face of RIB2 thru RIB4. At each rib, make a check of the skin attachments, the spar attachments and the area of the stringer cutouts. Make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion or damage
-
there are no scratches or scores
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

correct repair procedure.

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the applicable access panels:
-for the left wing, install 540AB
-for the right wing, install 640AB (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001). Subtask 57-20-00-942-063
B. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the safety barriers.
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

Obey the fuel safety precautions (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(2)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4)
Put the safety barriers in position.
