A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
Obey the fuel safety precautions (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the access panels 540AB and 640AB.
(2)
Remove the access panels: (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001) (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002)

for the left wing: 540AB
-
for the right wing: 640AB.
(3)
Open the RIB2 surge doors:
-
for the left wing: 540AZ, 540BZ
-
for the right wing: 640AZ, 640BZ.
(4)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) (98D57004013000) on the forward surge doors.
(5)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) on the aft surge doors.
(6)
Use a FLASHLIGHT, if necessary.

C. Cleaning of the Structure

(1) Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), if necessary.
4. Procedure

Subtask 57-10-00-220-062
A. Inspection R (Ref. Fig. 615/TASK 57-10-00-991-022)
(1)
Do a detailed inspection of:
-
the external surface of RIB1
-
the top surface of the triform fitting of the outer wing box. This inspection is applicable between the front spar and the rear spar.
(2)
Make sure that there is no:
(a)
Corrosion damage:
-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block001) for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks dents, bumps...):

-If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block001) for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) (98D57004013000) on the forward surge doors.
(2)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) on the aft surge doors.
(3)
Close the RIB2 surge doors:
-
for the left wing: 540AZ, 540BZ
-
for the right wing: 640AZ, 640BZ.
(4)
Install the access panels:
(Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001)
-
for the left wing: 540AB
-
for the right wing: 640AB.
Subtask 57-10-00-942-079
B. Put the Aircraft back to its Initial Configuration.
(1)
Remove the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
