A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
(2)
Make sure that the main landing gear door is open (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the fuel safety procedures have been obeyed (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) , (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(4)
Make sure that the center tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or the fuel is moved into a different tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001).
(5)
Make sure that the remaining fuel is drained (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

Subtask 57-17-11-914-051
A. Preparation for the Installation of the Access Cover
(1)
Clean the contact surface of the seal on the access cover (1) with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and with lint free cloth.
(2)
Put a new seal (2) in position with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-026).
(3)
Clean the surface around the seal (2) with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) to remove the excess of sealant.

B. Bonding Strip Integrity Check
(1) Do an inspection of the bonding strips in the center wing box. Make sure that they are:
-correctly installed,
-
not corroded,
-
not damaged.
NOTE : If necessary, replace the bonding strips (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-
____ 912-002) or (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

C. Installation of the Access Cover
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 57-17-11-991-001)
(1)
Put the access cover (1) in position on the frame. NOTE : Hold the access cover 147AZ (148AZ) in position when you

install the fasteners.
(2)
Install the washers (8),the washers (7),and the screws (6).
(3)
TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.8 and 0.9 m.daN (70.79 and 79.64 lbf.in).
NOTE : You must do the electrical bonding when you install the
____ bonding strip (5) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(4)
Install the bonding strip (5), the washer (4) and the bolt (3).
(5)
TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 0.38 and 0.42 m.daN (33.62 and 37.16 lbf.in).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
breaker(s): R 2QE, 2QA, 8QA, 1QA, 7QA, 1QU, 2QU

R E. BITE Test
(1) Do a BITE test of the FQI system (Ref. TASK 28-42-00-740-001).
(2) Do a BITE test of the FLSS system (Ref. TASK 28-46-00-740-001).
NOTE : Those tests are only applicable if you do a maintenance work____ in the center wing-box area.

NOTE : After major tank repair, refer to MPD 731000 latest revision____ for additional information.

(1) Make a visual inspection to make sure that there are no leaks at the access cover 147AZ (148AZ).

A. Close Access
(1) Close the main doors of the main gear (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001)
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
