You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.

(3) Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the
flaps or slats.
(4) Put the safety barriers in position.

(1)
Put the adjustable access platform in position below the flap tracks 3 and 4, zones 532 (632) and 533 (633) and below the fuel tank, zone 540 (640).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001) (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-002) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002):
-for the left wing, remove 540FB, 540GB, 540NB, 540PB
-for the right wing, remove 640FB, 640GB, 640NB, 640PB.

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the adjustable access platform in position below the flap tracks 3 and 4, zones 532 (632) and 533 (633) and below the fuel tank, zone 540 (640).
(2)

the upper surface of the bottom skin in the area of the flap track 3 and 4 forward and aft pickup fittings

the attachment to the rear spar.
