Do a special detailed inspection of the upper half of the vertical tee fitting, in the outer wing box. This inspection is applicable at the junction with RIB1 and the rear spar (left and right sides). Refer to the Non-destructive Testing Manual (Ref. NTM 571185,P.Block-401).

Make a report of damage after NDT inspection:
(a)
Corrosion damage:
-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block 001) for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents, bumps...):
-If you find other damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block 001) for damage classification and corrective action.

Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) (98D57004013000) on the forward surge doors.

Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) on the aft surge doors.
(3)
Close the RIB2 surge doors:
-
For the left wing: 540AZ, 540BZ
-
For the right wing: 640AZ, 640BZ.

Install the access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001):
-For the left wing: 540AB
-For the right wing: 640AB.
