R WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES._______
R (1) Obey the fuel safety precautions (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
R (2) Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001)
R on the flap/slat control lever.
R (3) Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the
R flaps or slats.
R (4) Put the safety barriers in position.

R B. Fuel Configuration
R (1) Move the fuel to another tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) or defuel
R the tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) as applicable.
R (2) Drain all of the remaining fuel from the tank through the water drain
R valves (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

R WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK._______
R (1) Put the adjustable access platform in position below zone 540(640).
R (2) Remove the access panels for the applicable wing (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-
R 000-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002):
R - for the left wing, remove 540AB, 540BB
R - for the right wing, remove 640AB, 640BB.

R A. Preparation for Inspection
R (1) Remove unwanted sealant from the access panel cut-out(s) and the seal
R faces of the access panels.
R (2) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with
R CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026), to clean:
R - the access panel (1) interfaces
R - the fuel tank access cut-out (3) interfaces and the adjacent area
R - the clamp ring (5) and the bolt (6) areas.
