(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Put the safety barriers in position.

(1)
Put the access platform below the applicable wing rear spar, zone 574(674).
(2)
Open the applicable access panels:

for the left wing, open 574AB, 574BB

-the rear spar aft face between Rib 5 and Rib 8.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of Outer Wing Fixed Trailing Edge, Rear Spar Aft Face, between Gear Support Rib 5 and Rib 8
(1) Examine the outer wing fixed trailing edge and the rear spar aft face between Ribs 5 and 8. Make sure that:

there is no corrosion, damage or dents
-
there are no scratches or scores
-
there are no cracks
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners or any item broken or missing
