A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
Put the access platform in position below zone 500(600).
(4)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(5)
Install the wing safety rope (Ref. TASK 12-00-00-481-001).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026), to clean:
-the wing top-skin at its joint between the front spar and the rear spar from RIB1 to RIB8.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Outer Wing Top-Skin Surface at the Attachment to the Front Spar between RIB1 and RIB8
(1) Inspect the upper surface of the wing top-skin at its attachment to the front spar and the rear spar (between RIB1 and RIB8). Make sure that:

there is no corrosion
-
there are no dents, burrs, scores or scratches
-
the rivets and fasteners are in the correct condition
-
the surface protection is not damaged or loose.
