A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2)
You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you refuel/defuel the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-001) (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-002).
(3)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(4)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(5)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(6)
Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the applicable fuel tank has been defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
