B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Outer-Wing Bottom Skin Stringers between RIB1 and RIB8, including the drainholes in the Stringers and Buttstraps at Stringers 8 and 11
(1) Examine the bottom skin stringers, between RIB1 and RIB8, the drain holes and the buttstrap at stringers 8 and 11. Make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion or damage
-
there are no scratches or scores
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) from the forward surge doors.
(2)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) from the aft surge doors.
(3)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(4)
Close the RIB2 surge doors:
-
for the left wing, close 540AZ, 540BZ
-
for the right wing, close 640AZ, 640BZ.
(5)
Install the applicable access panels:
-
for the left wing, install 540AB, 540BB, 540CB
-
for the right wing, install 640AB, 640BB, 640CB, (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the safety barriers.
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).

Remove the access platform(s).

Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
