A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.
(2)
Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
(4)
Make sure that the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

4. Procedure

Subtask 55-33-13-420-051
A. Close/Install the access panels.
R R (1) Do a check for the condition of the sealant on the panel attach surfaces. If necessary, replace the sealant:
R R R R R R R R R WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
R R (a) Apply the release agent SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-013) to the rear surfaces of the trailing edge access panels.
R NOTE : Do not apply release agent to the bonding points.____
R R (b) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the panel attach surfaces of the rudder hinge arms and the spar-box flanges.
R NOTE : Do not apply sealant to the bonding points.____
R (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
R (3) For access panels 325BL, 325BR, 325CL, 325CR and 325DL:
NOTE : The closing procedure for one access panel is given; the____ procedures for all access panels are almost the same.
(a) Remove the quick release pin (5).
(b) Slowly move the access panel to the closed position until you can install the quick release pin (5) in the pin stowage hole (4).
(c) Fully close the access panel.
(d) Tighten the studs (1).
R (4) For access panels 325EL, 325ER and 325DR:
