Make sure that the THS pitch trim control is set at neutral position

Install the suport strut SUPPORT STRUT - R/I THS ACTUATOR (98D27407502000) to set the THS at zero position.

Depressurize the Yellow and Green hidraulic systems. (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-002).

Install the PIN - RIGGING (0U190360) in the mechanical input of the THS actuator.
(2)
Install the TOOL - ZERO POSITIONING, THS ACTUATOR (0U190834) to set the THS actuator at zero positon.
(3)
Put the PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING (98D27903500000) in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
(4)
Put the warning notices in the flight compartment to tell the persons not to operate the flight controls.
(5)
Put warning notices in position to tell the persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
(6) Do an inspection of the componet interface and/or the adjacent area. Subtask 55-16-34-010-051

Put the access platform 3.0 m/(9ft. 10in) in position at zone 311,312.
(2)

(1) Remove the primary lower attachment of the THS actuator (Ref. TASK 27-44-51-000-001).

B. Remove the Attach Fittings Bearings of the THS Actuator Arm
R R (1) Remove the nut retainer (1) with the WRENCH-THS GROOVE NUT (98D27409007000) and remove the washer retainer (2).
(2) Push the bush (3) and remove the complete bush bearing assembly.
R R (3) Remove the nut retainer (6) with the WRENCH-THS GROOVE NUT (98D27409006000) and remove the washer retainer (5).
(4) Remove the bearing (4).
