B. Job Set-up
(1)
Depressurise the Green, Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3)
Put the access platform in position.

A. Cleaning.
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.

(1) Cleaning of the leading edge.
(a) Clean the leading edge surface with a Lint free cloth and CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003).
-Apply the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) to the cloth, not the cloth to the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003). This will prevent the transfer of contamination.

- Carefully clean a small area at a time and remove the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) before it becomes dry. Use a new lint free cloth frequently to make sure that the dirt and contamination is not put back on the surface. - If necessary use a soft brush to clean out any holes.
(b) When the area is clean, wash it with fresh clean water.
(c) Carefully dry the area with a new, dry, lint free cloth.

B. Painting

R (1) Do a repair if the paint or primer layers are damaged (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-001).
R (2) Treatment before Painting:
CAUTION : DO NOT USE FORCE TO MAKE THE SURFACE SMOOTH. TOO MUCH FORCE_______ WILL CAUSE: - DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE - DELAMINATION OF THE COMPOSITE STRUCTURE.
R R R R (a) If necessary, carefully clean the surface to be painted with a fine-grade MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-011) and the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002). Make sure that the primer layer does not show.
R (b) Clean the surface with a lint-free cloth, MISCELLANEOUS (Material
R No. 19-003) and the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003).

R (c) Remove the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) before it
R becomes dry. Do not touch the prepared surface with your hand.
R (d) Apply the STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-031) to the prepared
R area on the vertical stabilizer.

R (3) Treatment before you apply the erosion-protective tape:
R (a) Do a repair if the paint or primer layers are damaged (Ref. TASK
51-75-12-300-001).
R (4) Repair of the erosion-protective tape:
